My Life Changing Moment

Yeah, for some it may be simply having a near death experience, but for me I realised my mortality on the sandy bottom of the ocean at 31.8m...

Looking up at 31.8m and seeing the boat above is a daunting experience, the visibility and lack of wind made this dive particularly amazing. But what was more amazing is looking up and realising that one bad mistake could be catastrophic.

The Gemini is a 40-50m barge built around 50 years ago. Strategically sunk in 1993 and since laying on the sea bed at around 32m in depth means that the growth on the ship was amazing. On the starboard side of the ship ( ooo technical boating term :O ) was large pink soft coral branching out 2m or so in length with the diameter of the trunk connecting to the wreck being larger that you could put both arms around and touch your fingers together (you cant hug it.... and i wouldnt recommend trying either...).

Inside the wreck is home to many small fish and invertebrates (no... not geoffrey) such as crayfish and nudibranchs.

Downsides is seeing my camera leak after the THIRD TIME!!! Now having to send it back (did it today) hopefully i will be gettin myself a new epic camera!!!

It makes you think as you "free-fall" down into the depths that you really are at the mercy of the elements/ocean and this is what slightly scared me. Going over my dive time (means I could have gotten the bends) also scared me a bit...

Realising your mortality is something i think everyone eventually has, but having found mine so spectacularly is pretty awesome.

Bio Camp 2010

Really AWESOME!
First day we rode around the island and wrote in our booklets etc.
Second day we went snorkelling! EPIC!
Third day we went to the beach and did transects and beach combing (i found a Pt Jackson Shark Egg) and then went to the museum and finished our booklets.

Overall Rating: AWESOME!

Which one???

Im looking at some new gloves for the new football season and looking at the same type I have now. They have lasted me two seasons so im looking for something similar and I have found out that the gloves that I have has got a new model! Reasonably the same but the looks are slightly different. The new colour is awesome but what do you think.

KEEP IN MIND: I may not buy them and I also may not play as a keeper this year so this is just speculation. Also note that they are the same model of gloves and im just wondering about the colour.

WSWYCS's New Look: Explained

Well for those wondering what was involved in the makeover was:

• The writing is now fluro green (As opposed to this)
• The background is now a darker blue (As opposed to this)
• The Title Pic is different, and the reflection to the bottom left of the shell is not a gas mask, but it is me with my regulator and mask on, hence Geoff's guess...
• The last change is the fact the writer is back and ready for some epic posting :D

My Fishy Friends

Due to difficulties with my epic fail internet etc, I will not be showing pictures until another date, however my fishies that some of you became aquainted with at indoor after my impulse buy while on double nuerofen dosage, are settling in well in their new home complete with yellow pebbles and 2 fake trees (lol I don't think they have even noticed! *Wink*)
Anyway along with my two goldfish, I also got myself an algae eater (as yet UNNAMED) for the tank which is a smaller fish that is mainly good for cleaning tanks. I would very much like suggestions for naming, as im not sure what names the goldfish are either as the girls fight out amongst themselves for naming priorities. But the algae eater is definitely unnamed and needs a name fitting for his status in the "fish tank shizzle pad".

PS: Current possible names include Brittany-Annie, Ashlyn-Annie, Fred, Stripe (for the algae eater as he has stripes) and other explicit names suggested by tom... Building on these names or other names will be accepted :) or i will just give names from those above. EPIC METAL NAMES ACCEPTED TOO!!!
