Things you may NOT know about Music

I came across some very interesting things today. One is some odd genres while searching for information about symphonies in my music class. The genres were Symphonic Metal and Symphonic Black Metal. How can you mix ying and yang in the same sentence? Some of you may have known about this but i think that the idea is absurd...

Another thing i found was an interesting "trumpebone" (an instrument that is a mix between a trombone and trumpet) called the FIREBIRD. What an awesome name for a musical instrument! This has valves from a trumpet and a slide as seen on a trombone. Apparently the famous James Morrison (trumpet player) owned one. wow...

Last but not least the words for a hemidemisemi quaver and hemidemisemi quaver rest in Danish. (Emerson found this but i’m taking credit :P)
Fireogtredsindstyvendedelnode – Hemidemisemi Quaver (64th Note)
Fireogtredsindstyvendedelspause – Hemidemisemi Quaver Rest (64th Note Rest)

Hope you learnt some new things today!
