NZ's Stupid Little Hill they Call:

"Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu" is a hill in New Zealand (i call it a hill because it is only 300m high and because wikipedia does also :P). It is supposedly called this because it means "The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one"

I bet his "loved one" felt special when this guy played a nose flute LOL!
Anyway, the other name, which is 105 letters instead of 85, is:
"Taumata-whakatangihanga-koauau-o-Tamatea-haumai-tawhiti-ure-haea-turi-pukaka-piki-maunga-horo-nuku-pokai-whenua-ki-tana-tahu"
And this means:
"The hill of the flute playing by Tamatea — who was blown hither from afar, had a circumcised penis, grazed his knees climbing mountains, fell on the earth, and encircled the land — to his beloved"

Trust the Kiwi's to come up with a name like that!!!

It seems that film studio MGM's financial peril could put two anticipated films at risk. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, MGM recently held a conference call with its bondholders in a desperate plea for funding. It was said that the studio missed its financial earnings and was in need of $20 million to cover overhead and an additional $150 million to continue developing The Hobbit and the new untitled James Bond film, Bond 23.


So the bondhholders said to MGM, in essence, that they were going to let the studio go bankrupt and collect their money since they'd be first in line to get paid. But Cooper explained that this would be the worst possible outcome for the creditors and the company. Because if MGM were forced into bankruptcy, then it would lose James Bond and the studio doesn't think it can stay alive without 007. Also, a lot of other issues would surface that would tremendously hurt MGM.

Also, if MGM goes through bankruptcy, that's a very expensive prospect (where only the lawyers get rich), and extremely disruptive (since who would do business with MGM in the interim) and won't get the creditors what they want which is their money back. It's more than simply MGM losing Bond. The studio could lose a lot of other franchises

OMG!!! This cannot happen or the next 007 movie will most probably be shite, (im sorry but i'm am going to say this) just like the past 2 movies. Now emo, before you give me links to sites that say "best movie ever" ect. I have to say that the past 2 James Bond movie with Daniel Craig have been lacking the "Bond Formula". They have changed his signature drink, car and phone, as well as Q (played by John Cleese in the movies before Daniel Craig).

Computer Failed Me :(

In my double period of music we had to do some practice on a program called "auralia" which tests your listening abilities on certain aspects of music (which i won't mention so that geoffry doesn't feel left out).
Today, emerson and i decided to try using the singing aspect of the program to better improve our listening of pitch. The excersise i was attempting was having to sing the higher pitched note when two notes are played similtaneously. I tryed to sing the note and the whole program froze... I broke the program with my singing. What made it worse was that it froze on the "you got it wrong" message while trying to make the "you got it wrong" sound.

Hahahaha! Fear me computers!

The Cockroach Guy...

Yeh well today i was walking to my last class of the day after drama (the dreaded RE) and as i was walking down the upstairs corridor, i was walking behind this guy who had a cockroach on his shoulder. It was about 1.5cm long and was simply crawling along his shoulder... Not knowing what to do (seeing how he was a year 12) i left it and didn't say anything. It crawled over his shoulder and i could no longer see it, and when he stopped at his classroom, i walked past him and looked for it quickly but didn't see it again. Either i didn't see anything and i was hallucinating or it crawled into the space between his shirt and blazer. I realised it was a bit late to tell him... Whoops...

Year 12 Monologue Night

Tonight i volunteered to do lighting for the Year 12 Monologue night, which turned out really awesome! When i got there, i found out that instead of repeatedly pressing a "cue" button, i would have to do all the lighting manually with the switch board because the guy who set the cues did it wrong. I finally managed, however before the 2nd or 3rd performance, Kayla (backstage manager), tripped in the darkness while trying to set the stage for the next act. After tripping you could hear through my headset from Ms LaBrooy "Brandon, Kayla need lights to get off" after a slight panic: "Brandon! Lights!!!" I finally just switched on the main lights to full and everyone saw Kayla (after standing on stage waiting for lights for about 8 seconds) who eventually ran off stage to the clapping of the audience.

What did she have to say through her headset for my heroics? "Thanks for the most embaressing moment of my life Brandon!!!"

At this point i was silently laughing and having to quickly set up the lights for the next performance. This has so far been the highlight of my week! Sadly, at Kayla's expense... Sorry Kayla :)

Community Service with Joe

Today, some may have noticed that Joe and myself were absent. This was because we were doing community service at an interschool athletics carnival hosted at Carramar that my mum happened to be involved in (being a teacher and all...)

Geoff and Conor, you could have read this book...

As Conor and Geoff tried and failed to read the Darren Shan Series, i continued to read all of them and to great satisfaction. This series is awesome and is a must read for horror/adventure type books. Yeh, i know, i'm hypocritical about being "sick about all the twilight writer wannabees" but this book/series/saga is awesome and one of my top recommended books to read besides Cherub. If you want to borrow them then just ask :)

Anywho, the real reason i wanted to bring this topic up was because they are actually making a movie out of these books! yay! tis will be awesome!!! Warner Brothers have the rights to the movie so it should be pretty good. If you want to check out the movie or the series then click on the links.

The "We are tight with our spending lately" Talk

Yeh! i'm pissed! the other day i got the famous "We are tight with our money at the moment" speech and right now i'm super pissed. My mum (yes you read right, my mum) just got a brand new bike. I am absolutely disgusted. No wonder we're tight with our money, YOU JUST BOUGHT 25 GRAND WORTH OF BIKES AND GEAR YOU PHSYCHOS!!!

I am disgusted even to look at both the bike and my whole family. And to top it off, on thursday my mum said to me that she was planning to buy my dad (yes you read right, my dad) an iPhone! WTF!?! Why is it that i can't have an electric guitar but my parents can buy Motorbikes??? stupid MOFOS!!!

I hate how, not only did they go behind my back, buy the bike, and then drive it into the garage without telling me anything. And then they had the cheek to tell me how i am not allowd "loud" things and that they want to be tight with their money.

My past few hours

Today on the bus to the train station i was called up by a policeman asking whether i was the person who filmed this fight 2 months ago. Shitting my self i of course said yes and i aranged a time for some cops to come round to take statements and stuff. At about 7:00 the police came over... i was scared because the first thing i noticed was their stun gun and glock... eeeeekkkk.
Anywho, they started to tell me why they were visiting excetra and then i showed them the video which they asked for a copy of and then asked if i wanted to give my statement and of course my parents said that what ever was more convenient for them would be fine. I ended up riding down to the police station in the cop car to make a statement where i relayed everything about the fight and gave them the video. I was there about an hour and came back home at about 8:10 where they said that i probably won't hear from them again unless the guy pleads "not guilty" in court which means they will need to take me in as a witness. OMFG.

And to answer your question matt, i was filming it because i couldn't exactly go up and break up the fight. There was about 4-5 of them and they all were alot older and taller than me, which is easy because i am short. I thought it would be better if i filmed it so i could give it to the police.

My "doosh" english teacher

Yes, from the title, you have now realised my teacher is a doosh (i spelt it like that just for you pucc :P)
How is she a doosh you may ask? well because on tuesday i had a drama performance that went pretty much all day. In the morning she gave us a paragraph to write for homework. I went to drama round lunch and didn't get home till about 10:10pm and didn't get into bed till about 10:45.
On wednesday i went to a chemistry excursion and missed out on the double period of english. All this school being missed ended up in another night of staying up late doing homework which i didn't end up finishing anyway... Anywho, when i went to school today, she gave me a note home because i didn't do a stupid paragraph that didn't even benefit me or her for the discussion. The discussion was about how women are portrayed in the media, and she starts to push views upon us such as (and i quote this): "Young highschool students should not wear make-up because it sexualises them and makes others see them as sexual objects" WTF no it doesnt!!! Stupid feminist!!!
This is why my english teacher is a doosh. She talks to us like primary school students and thinks we should not watch MA15+ movies so she gets us to make a permission slip to watch some stupid movie which wasn't really relevent to any of our topics. She also gives us stupid homework, including a comma and full stop usage sheet... What an absolute dumb stupid bitch!

To top off my day i now have to see the police tonight about a fight that happened at the train station that i filmed because if i got involved then i would have got the shit kicked out of me by 4 gangster druggies. Isn't this just great?
PS: it's freaking scarey when the police ring your mobile and they say "this is the police" (OMFG)

Homework :(

I'M SO FUCKING SICK OF HOMEWORK!

I am never going to finish it all in time and i am getting really frustrated!!! This will teach me for doing extra curricular activities. I am so sick of large assignments as well, especially in subjects such as RE!!! Why does anyone care about how the world is plagued by misfortune and sin and God will fix everything? NOBODY!!! BECAUSE IT IS A LOAD OF CRAP!!!

Today i noticed on the b4mv website that bullet was showing a live show in the US(of gay) along with some great names such as Linkin Park and Metallica. Why was Australia not involved? I mean could they at least show it on an outrageous hour here so we can tape it?

Why does the US(of gay) get everything when it comes to music. They keep all the best bands to themselves. All those bands should migrate to Australia! Then we will get all their music for us and we won't air it to them. All to ourselves!!! MWAHAHAHAHA! Go Bullet!!!

Things you may NOT know about Music

I came across some very interesting things today. One is some odd genres while searching for information about symphonies in my music class. The genres were Symphonic Metal and Symphonic Black Metal. How can you mix ying and yang in the same sentence? Some of you may have known about this but i think that the idea is absurd...

Another thing i found was an interesting "trumpebone" (an instrument that is a mix between a trombone and trumpet) called the FIREBIRD. What an awesome name for a musical instrument! This has valves from a trumpet and a slide as seen on a trombone. Apparently the famous James Morrison (trumpet player) owned one. wow...

Biological WTF!?

Some of you may watch the show Good News Week on mondays at 8:35pm, and if you do then you probably have heard this already. On the 22nd of August this year, a fish elevator was developed to help extinct species of the area to get over a 43m high wall because of their needy breedy habits (women eh?).
I find this hilarious mainly because of the fact that the company that put the dam wall there in the first place did not take into account how it would affect the local wildlife, and had to make this bizarre contraption to fix what they have done. I laugh at these people. LOL

23m Ledge: Most Proabably off my Work's Boat :)

23m Ledge is basically a vertical cliff which at the bottom is 23m deep. The wall itself starts at about 12m and drops vertically down. This site i have been to twice and it is amazing!!! The day i went we saw gigantic 3m wide bull rays dance around us on the way up. I haven't been there yet with my digital camera but i will soon and hopefully take as good a video as this!

The MP3 Player Trance

Ok, well we all know about the kind of trance we have when we are listening to music on the bus/train by ourselves. We begin to focus completely on the music and become completely unaware of the things going on around us if deep enough. (this happens to me so if you don't experience this then stay with me).
Anyway, going home from school I have the choice of two buses: One that drops me off closer to home or further to home. Having missed the closer one i had to catch the latter. While on the bus i decided to listen to my iPod, so i did... I saw the stop before mine go past and pressed the button and seconds later a Three Days Grace song came on that i haven't heard for a while. Being quite a distance between the stops i managed to slip into my "MP3 Player Trance" and... well... i missed my stop...
The bus stopped i didn't even realise... i don't even know if anybody else got off...
At least it was a good song...
I ended up having to walk even further to get home aswell! GOD DAMMIT!!!
