The Ensemble

Seriously, I am absolutely sick of clarinet ensemble to the point where I want to ruin it for everyone by quitting. If I was to quit, then the WHOLE ensemble would fall apart... No seriously these guys cannot play clarinet if their lives depended on it.

It is mainly two people, for the purposes of not wanting to defame, lets call these people "Person XX" and "Person XY"
Person XX cannot keep in tune and puts EVERYBODY out not to mention cannot play their part. This person does not come to practices often and its annoying that this person relies alot on me to play their part.
Person XY cannot play their part, period. This person doesn't EVER turn up for ensemble even when an hour and a half earlier I reminded them. This person I swear is missing one or two or 44 chromosomes.

Its just annoying that you put time and effort into something only for people to throw it back into their face. Its really quite insulting and I am not looking foward to standing up on stage next week with these guys because they cannot play together, it will be an utter disaster.

I do not know what else to do but soldier on I guess... Oh well...

World Breath Holding Competitions

Freediving is one of the most dangerous sports around. Basically involves holding your breath under the time limit and at depth.

There are 4 basic categories:
Constant Weight is basically carrying a weight down a rope without touching it and taking a tag when reaching your limit and then coming up again (coming up is hard).
Current record is 122m (Thats vertical depth. Double that number for total swimming distance...)

Variable Weight involves taking a weighted sled down to a specified depth then swimming down as far as you can go and then making your way up again.
Current record is 140m

Static Apnea is basically holding your breath underwater as long as possible.
Current Record is 11 minutes and 35 seconds!!! WHOA!!!

No Limits is most dangerous and involves going down on a sled and then returning to the surface via a special balloon. This is most dangerous because going up rushes your body with gases and causes you to black out (called blue water black out i think...)
Current Record is 214m... WOW!

Just some useless facts on breath holding.
My current free diving depth is 23m and breath holding is 2 minutes 30 seconds. Almost there...

My Day was FULL ON!!!!

No recess or lunch as i had to go to clarinet ensemble at recess, pack up and finish my biology experiment as well as concert band practice. No afternoon as i had swing band practice and math tutor. No rest of day because of school and no night because of homework.

School = Stupid Turd
