English At Curtin

Actually i thought it was pretty good. I really enjoyed some and was bored to death at others. I found it especially annoying at the arguementative writing one where the expressive hand lady read everything almost word for word off her slide, the No Sugar lecture being completely mind boggling and of course the stupid bottle cap fact.

Despite these things i still thought the day was rather enlightening :D especially as i missed a day of school. But I think everyone wanted to go home before the last lecture. Still good though...

My top lip hurts

I got stung by a ninja jellyfish yesterday and it really hurts. Today it still is a bit sore.
DAMN YOU NINJA JELLYFISH!

PS: It was ninja because you would think you would see it before bumping it into your face... But im skillful that way.

Underwater Proposal

Yesterday I helped out on the boat (again) however, this time for a
very different reason. A guy came into the shop the other day and
asked my boss for a favor to help him in proposing to his girlfriend
underwater. So he ended up booking himself and his girlfriend on a
dive course. So, we made a treasure chest like box and embedded two
golden weights and the ring box to the bottom (to hold the ring).

At the start of the dive we made up a story about a man named Le Quinn
who sank his boat at a place called Quinns Reef and the treasure never
found (as corny as it sounds it was quite believable.)

When the couple got in the water we hid the chest it a predetermined
spot with the ring inside. After hiding it I put some seaweed in and
around the box for authenticity. The box was found and he proposed and
the girl said yes. Awwww!

Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool to have played a part in the
changing of someones life, and it was quite funny seeing someone
hyperventerlate underwater...
I'll post some pics and maybe a short video another time.

Triumph!!!

Last night, I awarded my stressfull week with a Night Dive off the dive boat. I took the chance to test out my fifth housing and at last it did not leak!!! YAY!!! The first dive was during the day and the second at night, however the camera was not taken down on the night dive because the rechargeable batteries I was testing out did not last long enough for two dives as normal batteries do... :(

According to my dive computer the water was a nice chilly 17 degrees and out of the 40 photos i took, these were the only ones that were worth posting, the rest were complete duds. Make sure you enlarge them to see full quality and comment on any you particularly like :D

Some Pics from Rottnest!

Ages ago I went to Rottnest for Biology Camp. It was so AWESOME!!!

The highlight was definitely the snorkelling and i thought i would show some the best ones that I have found on my computer.

Out of the rough 40 I take each time I go diving (or in this case snorkelling) only a few end up like these. Looking at them now, doesn't give them justice so make sure you click and enlarge them especially the octopus.

Why do i bother?

Exams are stupid. I hate exams. I haven't done one yet but study is a bitch. At any time i could go and do something i WANT to do, but instead im stuck at my desk studying. I hate study. Study is stupid.

TARDIS Machines in the Future?

I think one day someone will figure out time travel. I don't know how long it will take but i think someone will. Wouldn't it be awesome? Being able to visit civilisations back in time and return to the exact point in time in which you left? I think it would be awesome!!!

The book I am reading at the moment is delving into what could be time travel. I know i don't do physics, but basically the theory in this book sounds pretty logical. If you travel fast enough you will be able to break the barrier for the speed of sound and eventually travel back in time. I think that is sounds improbable that this is the secret to time travel but it makes you think!!!

However, it could be proof that we will never have time travel because we haven't been visited by time travellers yet... Either that or the world we are currently living in is as dull as...well... Perth.

Probably not, considering its middle of exams and its time is miles away from the Epic FC game...

Really Enjoyed tonights game but considering how many attempts Joe had, I think he deserved the goal... If not, give him the OG from last week because he was the one who told me to put pressure on the guy who backpassed it into his own goal. Otherwise, I think that the game was really clean and breaking in a new ref was good, despite his jumpiness on the whistle (needs to let the game flow).
